Hypnosis is something mystical that therapists do – we all may think. I personally do. Sometimes it even frightens me when I think that someone could influence my thoughts and mind. When I started researching the idea of hypnosis in the internet, I found that everything is not as bad as I thought it could be.
Self confidence hypnosis can be both performed by the therapist and by the patient himself. Only you get to decide what to choose. If you do not know how to make a self hypnosis, than it is probably better for you to visit a doctor-specialist. Hypnosis performed by the therapist, I suppose, is a very pleasant procedure. What therapist does is makes you create a visual imaging in your mind by the specific script he is telling to you. Before that he does special talking to make you relax and clear your mind. As the therapist already knows your problems, he selects the special script that will suit you. Mostly during the hypnosis time the therapist takes your imagination to the past in to the childhood, creates new visions of the past, changes the feelings about the past, about the particular situations that have influenced your present self-esteem.
What is good about visiting a specialist is that he helps you to find out those bad events that have happened in the past, that so drastically spoil your life at the present time. You can attend a doctor to find out your problems and to learn the script to play in your mind. You can do the self hypnosis.
Self hypnosis is very easy to do. It takes about ten minutes a day and is very pleasant. First of all you have to know the event in your life that influenced you. When you know it, create the script about how you would like the things to happen if they could happen again. For example if your parents paid very few attention to you, then imagine a little girl or boy (it is you) and you caring about that child with a great love, giving him or her all the attention and kindness you could give. Play different situations that you can imagine. Try to remember the feeling during the imagination. Try to feel this love and pleasure. Fill your imagination with strong, beautiful emotions.
If you do this exercise for many times your mind will believe everything you have imagined is true. It will not distinguish whether it is true or not, but you will feel much more confident and better.
You can try all other different techniques to raise your self-esteem and self confidence, like affirmations, success journal, goal setting. A man has all the tools to treat himself. It is only the matter of belief. People believe in whatever possible: different Gods and saints, doctors, wonder pills and tablets, advertisings but never in their self. I am asking. Why? Why not even to try? It takes some time and patience, some mental work and recognition of your failures and mistakes, your past experience. But the moment you will start believing yourself, start working with your mind you will transform in to strong confident responsible person. Stop snoozing, start living your life. Find the factors ruining your life and change them for the best. Create new greater self.
